Every time they fought, he realized how mean she was. She said all kinds of things about him that hurt him a lot. She would comment on his cleanliness, shabby habits, low taste in dressing, his family background, attitude of his parents, etc. He wouldn't respond. But every such comment drove a nail through his already hurt and bleeding pride. Sometimes, he thought he couldn't take it anymore.
But when the fight is over, she would walk over to him, hug him and kiss him. And everything would melt. He would forget what she said.
One day, while they were fighting, she told him that he was an ugly monster who was not bothered about others. It was unbearable for him, so he exploded saying she was the monster who hid inside a pretty shell. He told her that her kisses had no love in them, and her intimacy was self centered.
She fell silent all of a sudden. Looking down, she stormed to the bedroom and slamming the door behind her.
He was shocked at the way he responded. He couldn't believe he said those words to her. He walked to the bedroom with a heavy heart, silently sat beside her and kissed her hugging as strongly as he could.
Then he felt her melting in his hands. Her smile told him that she forgot everything. Both were aware that there was an unknown feeling rushing between them. It was so strong, that they forgot that the kiss was so long. And they did not want to name that unknown feeling.
Human relations are more dependent on feelings rather than words. We humans aren't as good as we should be to empathize with feelings and thoughts of others. What does it mean to love someone with all your heart? It means to love with all your emotional feelings and with all your devotion. Surely when you love your partner with all your heart, you cannot demean her, criticize her, find fault with her, or abuse her by words, sullen behavior, or actions. In relations people will forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel. So, if you love someone, love with all your heart!
